[VIDEO] Westminster Institute: Dave Eubank Speaking on Northern Iraq
Washington, D.C.
18 August 2017
David Eubank, former US Army Ranger and Special Forces officer and founder of the Free Burma Rangers, will discuss his time spent on the front lines of the battle against ISIS in Iraqi Kurdistan, Syria, and Mosul, Iraq. He said recently, “In Iraq and Syria the U.S. helps to defeat ISIS and our presence creates a space where people can talk and cooperate together.”
The U.S. presence in and assistance to Iraq and the Regional Government of Kurdistan in Iraq gives the US the opportunity to help Christians, Jews, Yazidis and other minority populations remain in Iraq and return to their homes from which they’ve been chased by ISIS.
The Free Burma Rangers (FBR) is a humanitarian service movement working to bring help, hope, and love to people in the conflict zones of Burma, Iraq, Syria and Sudan. Working in conjunction with local ethnic pro-democracy groups, FBR trains, supplies, and coordinates missions with highly mobile multipurpose relief teams who then provide critical emergency medical care, shelter, food, clothing, and human rights documentation in their home regions.
